St. Francis Yard just off Queen's Road in Wanchai is a street burgeoning with interesting worldly shops, cafes and art studios. I got to know more about this street one Sunday after church..
It's where the only Monocle Shop in Asia is located. Another good find is Kapok Clothing store which sells goods from Sweden, France and Japan.
This is the Monocle Shop.
Launched in February 2007, Monocle is premium media brand with magazine, web, broadcast and retail divisions. Focusing on global affairs, business, culture and design,
Monocle's mission is to keep an eye on the world.
Apart from the magazine, the Monocle Shop sells leather slippers in collaboration with La Portegna in Madrid, T-shirts from Fit Melange Japan, votive candles in crossover with Commes des Garcon and a whole lot more. The back office used by HK contributors is very lovely too with furniture from Kokuyo Sena Japan.
Thanks to shop keeper Gokce for letting me take photos.
