Just My Typo

If you love paper stuff and curious finds, you'll love this shop.

Everything is neat and chic i love it!

Just enough to show the charming ceramic matryoshka doll and the miniature Eiffels.

Tons of notebooks and the entire alphabet is available here.

Yes, those are typewriters harnessed from the ceiling.

Typo is a one-stop concept shop with irresistible products to fill your space with confidence. via Typo

The store hails from Australia but has branched out in Singapore at Wisma Atria and Novena Square.
I would've wanted nice beauty shots of the products but I wasn't allowed to take photos.
These are stolen shots actually.

Check out their site http://typoshop.com.au/index.html.

This Season at Uniqlo

Just about every season, Uniqlo comes out with new line of collaborations with designers, pop icons and brands. This summer, this is what they have in store.

Uniqlo x Cath Kidston Charity Project

I love Cath Kidston's prints. Sadly I wasn't able to check out her store in London.
Saw these shirts at the Uniqlo Somerset store in Singapore.
Should be available in all Uniqlo stores from Paris to Japan

This Uniqlo exclusive collection is designed by British designer Cath Kidston to raise funds for the Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning (JOICFP), a charitable non-governmental organization. Cath Kidston and Uniqlo will make donations from the net proceeds of sale to fund an initiative supporting a safe motherhood program in Zambia. Please enjoy this wonderful collection, which redefines popular Cath Kidston classic prints through Uniqlo printing techniques and re-imagines them in vintage-fashion colors and a bleached antique look.

 Cacharel

I remember my mom would wear Cacharel dresses and perfume when we were younger. So out of nostalgia I got a couple of these lovely floral shirts

"Cacharel," an established brand that continues to attract women throughout the world, was created by Jean Bousquet in Paris in 1958. Uniqlo has collaborated with Cacharel to revive the greatest print patterns from its Spring/Summer 2001 through Spring/Summer 2006 collections, designed by the duo Clements Ribeiro (Suzanne Clements and Inacio Ribeiro). The patterns feature Cacharel's pop and feminine motifs, as well as its unique color combinations.

Studio Roxas

These are works of Pepper Roxas, a Filipino and fellow Kulasa (from my highschool St. Scholastica's College Manila).
Makes me exceptionally proud to see that she's doing great in New York.
I wish she'd come home often and bring her entire collection here.

Amazing Space: Gaya Fusion

An hour and half taxi ride from Nusa Dua and off the tourist trap Ubud lies an amazing space called Gaya Fusion.

This was the glorious building that greeted me.

Gaya Fusion consists of Art Space, Restaurant and Lounge, Villas, Ceramic and Design, and Gelato.

They produce their own ceramic collection as well as product lines for some of the most demanding international customers: Armani Casa, Bulgari Hotels and Resorts, Zara Home, and many others.

Their cuisine is a combination of Italian and Balinese. And their gelato choices are plenty with local flavors like coconut and passionfruit.

The downstairs Art Space holds contemporary art by Balinese and Italian artists.
I personally love the giant portraits.

Originally built as bungalows for their artists, Gaya luxury bungalows integrate art with luxurious living on the banks of a river between the gallery and a jungle gorge. (via gaya fusion ).

If you go to Bali you should definitely come down to Gaya.

Marimekko Love

Textile design brands used to be just confined to the world of interior designers.
Thanks to this cross over phenomenon, some brands are now easily recognizable and coveted.

Marimekko is among the brands i love when it comes to bold and vibrant prints.
So I'm just excited to see their signature prints on some Chucks in the mall a few days ago.

Personally I like the lo cut version with green laces. And aren't the shoe bags equally charming?

The Marimekko patterns featured in the sneakers include Tarha from 1963 and Pikkusuomu from 1965 by Annika Rimala and Kirppu from 1980 by Maija and Kristina Isola.

Marimekko, established in 1951, is a Finnish textile and clothing design company renowned for its original prints and colours. The company designs and manufactures high-quality clothing, interior decoration textiles, bags and other accessories.

Happy Mom's Day.

Picked out some fresh flowers at the market and did a simple arrangement. I realized carnations last longer than mums. 5 days and counting. For my mom - the hardest working person i know. You deserve this holiday! See you in a few weeks!

Lunch and Filipino Kitsch
